About Us

More than basketball.

B.I.B is a community. We've built a safe space in Belleview where people don't just play basketball, they come together in fellowship across different cultures and from far outside our community. People love the atmosphere.

We've brought back a sense of pride and happiness to coming together. We feed the community on most game days, we clean up when we're done, and we run a free training program for kids ages 6 to 16.

At every game, we promote nonviolence.

Our Story

From empty courts to a full league.

2011

The Coaching Years

Head Coach at Innovation Charter High School in New York. Lost the first game by 44 points. Finished with four 1st-place championships, two 2nd-place finishes, and Coach of the Year.

2018

The First Tournament

New to Florida, the courts were empty and there was nothing for ages 17 and up. So we started a weekend tournament: 4 teams, some shirts, and one big trophy. It turned out great.

Today

A Full League

Now a full league of 8 to 10 teams with 20 players each, still expanding every year. Community meals on game days, local sponsors, and a free youth training program.

Who We Run With

Real basketball people show up for B.I.B.

A community league only grows when people with something to teach are willing to stand in it. We've been in the room with Rafer Alston, the streetball legend known as Skip To My Lou, who played 11 seasons in the NBA and started at point guard for the Orlando Magic in the 2009 NBA Finals.

We've stood with Coach Shake, founder of Who's House Ballers Charity Inc., who has spent years running community basketball and charity work off the court, including breast cancer awareness events.

We've also built alongside local founders and small businesses who put their name behind our trophies, our jerseys, and our game-day meals.
